Preston Teacher Visits Houses of Parliament

On Tuesday 6th November, Miss Prior was invited to London to visit the Houses of Parliament to take part in a day long seminar focused on how schools’ can encourage children to take an active part in our Government.

Our British Values are integral to our learning and have a huge influence on our lives, both in and out of school.

It was an insightful opportunity to discover how we can encourage the children to play a key part in their future, giving them the chance to have their voice heard.

As a school we will be exploring how we are governed, what democracy means and how this can relate to our school life.

The day was hosted by Parliament’s Education Department with all travel and expenses paid for - a big thank you to them for this.
