Holocaust Memorial Service

Holocaust Memorial Service

On Friday 26th January, the children of Unit 4 took part in a Holocaust Memorial Service in the Holocaust Memorial Garden in Paignton. The children were wonderful ambassadors to the school and were excellent in the way they presented themselves during the service. They were joined by Isabella Webber (Holocaust Survivor), Kevin Foster MP, Deputy Mayor Derek Mills, Cllr Nicole Amil, and many other representatives from various organisations in and around Torbay. Many of those that joined us were thrilled to see the children take such an interest in the topic and commented on their passion to share the events of the holocaust with the wider community to ensure it doesn’t happen again. The tree, which was planted by Isabella and donated by Preston Primary School, can be seen in the Holocaust Memorial Garden in Paignton and will soon be accompanied by a plaque.
