Preston Thresher Sharks won their match on Monday and will now go on to play at Torquay United in a League Champions match against Watcombe.

Preston Angel Sharks reached the Presidents' Cup Semi Final against Shiphay on Friday and have secured a place at Torquay United in the Final.

Well done to both teams for all their hard work and for demonstrating the School values.

Thresher Sharks

On Monday the Preston Thresher Sharks had a league decider against Furzeham. Preston went into the game knowing anything but a win would result in Furzeham winning the League.

The boys played out of their skin in the first half with Toby and Ed scoring to put Preston 2-0 up at half time. Some wise words from Mr Hallett and Mr Brittain saw the boys hold onto the lead which resulted in Preston Thresher Sharks winning 2-0.

The match then went into an extra time League play off and the winners of extra time would be crowned League Champions.

It was a very nervy start to extra time from both teams, Goalkeeper Luis pulling off some crucial saves and our defence of Kasper and Lewys were stopping nearly everything thrown at them. Man of the Match Ash was unbelievable in midfield marking their strongest player all game and didn’t let him out of his sight.

During the second half Preston were awarded a penalty, Toby stepped up... AND SCORED! Preston now had the momentum and went on to score a second in the play off. The play off finished 2-0 to Preston.

Preston Thresher Sharks are League Champions and will now play in a League final at Torquay United in May!

Angel Sharks

On Friday the Preston Angel Sharks play a Presidents' Cup Semi Final against Shiphay. It was a very close game with both teams creating lots of chances.

Our goalkeeper, Issy, made some vital saves to prevent Shiphay from scoring and our defenders, Eva and Maisy, were very strong against a very good Shiphay team.

Preston took the lead with five minutes to go with a goal that would not be out of place in the Premier League. Maisy hit a shot first time from 20 yards out to lob the Shiphay goalkeeper and book Preston Angel Sharks a place in the Final at Torquay United in May. Well done Preston Angel Sharks!
