This half term, our school value is creativity. Creativity is about having a picture in your head of something you want to create, and you try your best to make it happen.  We will teach the children what skills support creativity:

• confidence in using imagination in different situations, bringing them to life.
• generating ideas: creating a clear brief and making improvements to something. Being experimental.
• applying creativity to other contexts through taught tools and developing the children to ask effective questions.
• learning to use others in the creative process.

We will talk to the children about how creativity is an essential skill for the future, and how it relates very much to our school aim of ‘Ready for Work.’ Creativity helps us to grow into critical and creative thinkers who can adapt to the constant changes in modern society.
