Puffins and Penguins Weekly Newsletter
Dear Parents and Carers,
The children have had a very busy and exciting week. They have been working in different groups with children from all over the school, and with different teachers. They have been learning about another country and culture, and have done many exciting activities including making volcanoes from Indonesia, Chinese cookery, Greek history, and learning to speak Spanish. The glimpses we have had of the children have been really lovely to see and they have loved learning with the older children. There has been a real buzz when the children have returned to class, excitedly telling us all they have been getting up to. I hope that they will be able to share some of their experiences with you.
Ideas for supporting your child’s learning at home this week:
- Write a sentence a day – keep a diary!
- Solving simple subtractions e.g. If I had 16 raisins and I ate 5 how many are left?
Have a wonderful half term
Many Thanks, Foundation Stage Team
