Foundation Stage Weekly Newsletter
Puffins and Penguins Weekly Newsletter 7th December 2018
Dear Parents and Carers,
On Thursday we had a wonderful time at the pre-school at Preston Baptist Church watching their Nativity. The children were very excited about travelling on our school minibus for the first time! We are looking forward to the pre-school children coming to see our dress rehearsal on Wednesday morning.
Just a reminder that costumes we have requested from home (narrators, sheep, cows, horses) please need to be brought in on Monday 10th in a named carrier bag. Thank you to those of you who have already sent costumes in so far. We are already very proud of the children for learning their lines and remembering our songs and actions.
Rotary Christmas Shoebox Scheme
We thought it would be a lovely idea to send a shoebox from each Foundation Stage class. We will send one to a 4-5 year old boy and one to a 4-5 year old girl. It would be wonderful if you could send in any unwanted items from home to fill the boxes and the children will decorate them before we send them off. Suggested items; matchbox type cars, bouncy balls, yo-yos, dolls, action figures, colouring books, crayons, felt-tip pens, notebooks, jigsaws, playing cards, etc (no war related toys or anything that needs batteries).
Please can any items be sent in with your child or given to the class teacher before 9am on Wednesday 12th December. Thank you!
We are still waiting for some parents to give photo consent on SIMS ParentLite. If we do not have consent then these children will not be photographed for the Herald Express Nativity supplement. Please speak to the office if you are having difficulties in doing so.
If anyone has any unwanted rolls of wrapping paper, we would love to have them at school please to use for our Santa’s grotto role-play area in the classroom.
Many thanks, Mrs Yeo, Mrs Bastin and Mrs Clague.
