We would like to encourage parents/carers to work closely alongside us as partners in their child's/childrens learning. Many of our curriculum projects will involve parents sharing their child's successes, through different medians. This could take the form of celebration performances or coming to school to view their current learning outcomes.
We will invite parents/carers to forums where they are informed how their child is being taught within specific curriculum areas. For example, we hold maths workshops to explain the current teaching methods and invite parents in to share in the school's phonics programme.
We also welcome parents to help in school, whether this be through reading with children, participating in trips or helping within other learning experiences.
We also try to ensure that our communication keeps the whole community up to date with events and news from the school. We use the website, texting, and a regular newsletter to achieve this.
