This week, some of the children in Unit 3 and Unit 4 have enjoyed taking part in the Bikeability course.

The children on the Level 1 course learnt how to be ‘pedal ready’ and how to ensure they are safe before even beginning to cycle. The children also learnt how to signal to others when they are turning and why this is so important.

The children on the Level 2 course have ventured out on to the roads in the local area, with the Bikeability Instructors, to experience "real" cycling. This teaches the children how to understand the road, and to share the road with other vehicles.

These lessons will support the children in staying safe when cycling. The children have shown a great amount of respect to the instructors and each other. Well done everyone!
