Tchoukball PE Session

Swifts and Kestrels enjoyed trying a new sport this week. John, a Sports Facilitator from Paignton Academy, taught them how to play Tchoukball. This is a fast-paced and fun-filled team sport suitable for all ages and abilities. The main skill needed to play Tchoukball is the ability to catch and throw the ball; it is therefore great for hand-eye coordination and development of transferable skills. Points are scored by throwing the ball at a specially designed net. The children embraced the challenge of learning a new sport, and they showed great determination and teamwork. They will be playing this again in the new year when each class attends their Sports Festival at Paignton Academy.
