Early Years
In the Early Years Foundation Stage our vision is for children to be confident learners who are excited and inspired every day by the people around them and the experiences they encounter. Children are valued for who they are and the knowledge they bring. They explore and learn through a range of fun and practical activities that have been carefully planned and sequenced. Our knowledge-rich curriculum is both broad and balanced and fosters our school aims: Love to Learn, Be a Good Citizen and Ready for Work. It is designed around a framework of values that supports the development of the whole child as a reflective learner. The curriculum is organised so that it builds on prior knowledge and enables every child to make progress. It is aspirational to ensure the highest outcomes for all children, including disadvantaged and/or those with SEND. We have high expectations and believe that all children can achieve their goals. We are passionate and enthusiastic about early years and children are at the heart of all the decisions we make. |
*It is our intention that our curriculum provides the basis for learning and development with that, following best practice, class teachers adapt to and reflect the individual and collective interests, passions and needs of the children in the current cohort.
