Broadsands House Assembly
Be a Good Citizen

Yesterday, our Broadsands House Captains - Izzy, Dasha, Flynn, and Millie - led a heart warming House Assembly to celebrate the success of their recent charity fundraising event in support of Therapy Dogs Nationwide.
The children organised a fantastic Unwanted Gift Sale, and thanks to the generosity of pupils, families, and carers across the school, they raised an impressive £30.33. The House Captains spoke with pride about how their House came together with such enthusiasm and kindness to support a cause that brings comfort and joy to so many.
We were thrilled to welcome Martin from Therapy Dogs Nationwide, along with other members of the charity and their wonderful furry friends. During the assembly, they shared how the money raised will help fund leaflets, campaigning efforts, and support for training therapy dogs, ensuring more people can benefit from the incredible work these animals do.
Martin and the team expressed their heartfelt thanks to Broadsands House and the wider school community for their compassion and generosity. The visit was a powerful reminder of how small acts of kindness can make a big difference.
This event beautifully reflected our school value of "Be a Good Citizen", showing how we can work together to support others and make a positive impact in our community.
Well done, Broadsands House!
