Broadsands House Charity Event
Broadsands House Charity Event

A tremendous well done to our Broadsands House Captains – Isaac, Ava, Bruno, and Jasmine – who organised a fantastic fundraising event in support of British Heart Foundation. The House Captains organised a range of activities to raise money, including selling heart-themed sweet bags, a skipping challenge, a dice game, and a guess-the-hearts-in-the-jar competition.
Thank you to all the families who kindly donated to take part in the different activities or to purchase some heart-themed sweets. Thanks to this generous support, the House Captains proudly raised over £130 for this important cause. This money can help British Heart Foundation fund vital research to know more about the heart and support the development of life-saving treatments, improve patient care, and provide resources to help people live healthier lives.
This event is a wonderful demonstration of our School Value of Teamwork, with the whole school community coming together to support a charity and make the fundraiser such a success. It also reflects our School Aim of Be a Good Citizen, showing care, kindness, and a willingness to help others. We are incredibly proud of the initiative and responsibility shown throughout.
This links directly to our 30 Ways to Connect – Number 5: Raise Money for a Charity. Across their time in primary school, we strive for all children to experience these 30 opportunities, enriching their learning beyond the curriculum and helping them become thoughtful, compassionate future citizens.
