Houses of Parliament Enrichment

During SATs week, our Year 5 pupils take part in a Torbay’s Children’s Parliament competition. Last year, Ruby, Poppy, Trixie, and Iris represented the school brilliantly and went on to win the competition where they completed their presentation on an issue affecting Torbay - an incredible achievement! This is a great example of our School Aim ‘Be a Good Citizen’ and showcasing to our children that our voices matter and that we can make a difference.

Last week, they were invited to the Houses of Parliament in London in recognition of their success, where they had the opportunity to visit parliament and see debates happening in person. A wonderful and memorable experience for them all! This links with our 30 Ways to Connect, number 29 - Visit a Historic Building or Place.
