Starlings Sports Festival

Starlings class had a brilliant time on their recent cricket Sports Festival at Paignton Academy. The children played small matches against other schools and showed wonderful sportsmanship throughout. They enjoyed practising both batting and fielding, with some very high and powerful swings taken! They all showed respect and resilience throughout the games, and were respectful to the other teams regardless of the result. They congratulated each other for new achievements and worked so well together as a class team. We were very proud of them. Attending Sports Festivals is a wonderful opportunity for our children to represent the school, try new sports, and contributes to our School Aim of 'Love to Learn'. The Starlings all learnt new things about cricket, and look forward to using this knowledge in PE lessons this half term.
