Tennis Enrichment at Torquay Tennis Club

July 10, 2026

A group of children from Unit 3 recently enjoyed a brilliant tennis enrichment session at Torquay Tennis Club. The children took part in a rotation of activities designed to develop a range of skills, including hand-eye coordination, forehand and backhand technique, and rally practice.

The children threw themselves into every activity, showing great enthusiasm and determination as they developed their racket control, movement, and accuracy. It was great to see them encouraging one another, taking on new challenges, and enjoying the opportunity to put their developing skills into practice on the courts.

The children represented Preston brilliantly throughout the visit, showing positive attitudes, excellent behaviour, and respect for others. This experience also links to our ‘30 Ways to Connect’ initiative – ‘Represent the School’, giving children another opportunity to take pride in representing Preston beyond the school environment.

A big thank you to Torquay Tennis Club for welcoming us and providing such an enjoyable session for the children.
