Unit 1 (Foundation Stage) Learning Together Session

This week, we enjoyed a wonderful Parent Learning Together session with our Puffins and Penguins classes. It was great to share our School Aim ‘Love to Learn’ with parents and carers.

This half term, the children have been learning and answering the questions:
1. How can we look after the world around us? 2. What do plants need to grow and why are plants important? 3. Which foods can we grow? They have also been doing lots of investigation.

During the session, children proudly shared their learning and worked alongside adults to complete a variety of hands-on investigations and creative activities. These included:

• Planting runner beans
• Measuring and comparing
• Exploring foods we can grow
• Tasting different fruits and vegetables
• Labelling parts of a plant
• Painting beautiful flowers
• Investigating sinking and floating
• Exploring magnets

It was fantastic to see so much enthusiasm, curiosity, and teamwork from both children and adults. Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the session such a success!
