Unit 3 Celebration of Learning

This week, the children in Unit 3 made a miniature seasonal rhubarb crumble to share with their loved ones as part of our Design Technology enquiry, 'How can I make a seasonal dish?' Working in groups of three, the first had to design their crumble, then work independently to make their own. Everyone worked hard to use cutting techniques, including the bridge and the claw, to cut the rhubarb into small pieces, then used different baking methods to prepare the crumble topping. Lots of children enjoyed tasting the crumble, even some who weren't keen on rhubarb!
