Unit 3 Tag Rugby Development Enrichment
Unit 3 Rugby Enrichment

Year 3 and Year 4 pupils enjoyed a fantastic Tag Rugby Development Enrichment led by a coach from England Rugby and Paignton Rugby Club. The session provided an exciting opportunity for children to develop their rugby skills while working with an experienced coach from the wider community. Throughout the session, pupils demonstrated our School Values of Respect and Teamwork. They listened carefully, supported each other, and showed great sportsmanship during every activity.
The children began by taking part in touch rugby activities before focusing on their throwing and catching skills through a range of fun and engaging drills. They worked hard to improve their accuracy, communication, and confidence, applying these skills as the session progressed. To finish the afternoon, pupils took part in mini games where they brought together everything they had learned. It was wonderful to see the children passing effectively, making sensible decisions, and working together as a team.
This experience also highlighted Number 23 of our 30 Ways to Connect: Make meaningful connections beyond the school. By learning from coaches at England Rugby and Paignton Rugby Club, our pupils benefited from valuable links with the wider community and gained memorable sporting experiences. Well done to all the children for their enthusiasm, determination, and excellent behaviour throughout the session.
