Unit 3 Tennis Enrichment

Over the past four weeks, children in Unit 3 have enjoyed weekly tennis lessons delivered by Torquay Tennis Club. Children have learnt the correct starting position, how to dribble the ball for control, and they have really enjoyed challenging themselves to hit targets over the net. Everyone has shown respect to the staff and each other, and everyone has been determined to improve their tennis skills over the weeks!

Children have cheered each other on and worked together in teams to develop crucial ball control skills. This has been a wonderful opportunity for our children to discover a new sport and we are very grateful to the club for their time and for sharing their passion for the sport with us.

This experience has linked to number 23 of our ‘30 Ways to Connect’, making links within the community. We look forward to working with the Torquay Tennis Club again, and we are very thankful to be chosen for this enrichment.  

Torquay Tennis Club have arranged to offer two free coaching sessions for children in Years 3 and 4 on Saturday 27th June and Saturday 4th July from 10-11am. Please email them directly if you would like to book a place for your child anne.hoyle@live.co.uk  If you would like to take up the offer but cannot make those dates, please do still email in and they will try and work something out.
