Year 2 Sleepover

Year 2 Sleepover Adventure!

July 13, 2026

Our Year 2 children enjoyed a fantastic sleepover in the school hall on Friday night, creating memories that will last a lifetime!

With beautiful weather on our side, the evening was packed with fun activities including a water fight on the playground, football on the field, and board games under the gazebos. The children then headed to our Woodland Camp, where they enjoyed hot dogs, marshmallows, and popcorn cooked over the campfire.

The sleepover was a wonderful opportunity for the children to develop their independence. For many, it was their very first night away from home. They set up their beds alongside friends, shared games and laughter, watched a movie together, and then settled down with a relaxing sleep story and calming music.

After an early start on Saturday morning, the children enjoyed more games and time with friends before tidying away their beds, having breakfast, and spending some time outdoors before being collected by their families.

We are incredibly proud of every child who took part. Not only did they complete two of our 30 Ways to Connect challenges – #3 Have a Sleepover and #30 Light a Campfire – but they also demonstrated our School Values of Teamwork, Independence, and Respect throughout the event.

A special highlight was speaking to one of our neighbours during the evening, who commented on how lovely it was to hear the children playing so happily together. He remarked on their excellent behaviour and how wonderful it was to hear so much laughter, fun, and friendship.

Well done, Year 2! You were a credit to yourselves, your families, and our school.
