Year 3/4 Football Cup

After finishing fourth in the Paignton League, our Year 3/4 football team proudly qualified for the cup competition. On Friday, they faced a strong Oldway Yellows side. Despite a determined performance, they were defeated which saw them progress to the Plate match to decide third and fourth place.

The team then took on tough opponents, Roselands, in a closely contested game. With the scores level at fulltime the match went to a tense penalty shootout. Ralph and Grace both scored excellent penalties before goalkeeper Elliot produced a brilliant save to secure the Plate victory for Preston!

There was further cause for celebration as Kia received the Golden Boot after finishing as the top scorer in the Year 3/4 Paignton League, an outstanding achievement!

The whole team demonstrated fantastic determination, teamwork, and sportsmanship throughout the competition. They should be incredibly proud of finishing third overall. Well done to everyone involved!
