On Friday, a group of children from Unit 4 had an exciting and inspiring trip to South Devon College for a hands-on engineering experience. Throughout the day, the children explored structures, learning how design choices affect strength and stability. They then put their problem-solving skills to the test by programming robots to complete specific challenges.
The children also investigated how everyday structures and products are designed and manufactured, gaining a real insight into the world of engineering. We were proud of the Determination, Teamwork, and Creativity the children demonstrated when designing their own bridges and programming their robots.
We are very grateful for our continued links with South Devon College, and this ties in with number 22 of 30 Ways to Connect - Take a trip to a university or college.
