Remembrance Assembly
Respect

Today, Unit 4 presented their Remembrance Assembly to Units 2 and 3. During the assembly, the children explained the importance of taking time to reflect, particularly on Remembrance Day. We would like to thank Mr Apps for joining the assembly and sharing his thoughts through a heartfelt poem.
It is vital that we teach our children to 'Be Good Citizens' by fostering tolerance and respect. They need to understand the importance of accepting and celebrating the differences and cultures of others. This links directly to our Personal, Social, Health, and Economic (PSHE) curriculum unit on celebrating differences. All the children in the assembly demonstrated our School Value of Respect beautifully.
We would also like to thank the House Captains for their support in selling poppies after school last week. Through their efforts, they not only helped raise funds but also increased awareness of the sacrifices made by soldiers in wars around the world.
Finally, we are extremely proud to see so many of our children take part in the Remembrance Parades over the weekend as part of the Scout Association and Girl Guides. This is a wonderful example of our children demonstrating our School Aim of ‘Be a Good Citizen.’
