Safer Internet Day 2026: Smart Tech, Safe Choices

Safer Internet Day: Smart Tech, Safe Choices

February 10, 2026

Today, children across school took part in activities for Safer Internet Day, exploring how to make smart, safe choices when using technology. Each class engaged in age‑appropriate lessons that helped them understand how to stay safe, think critically, and use the internet responsibly. Children in Key Stage 2 joined a fantastic BBC Live Lesson all about how AI technology learns and how it can help us to find information online. The session also taught children that even though AI is an amazing tool, it doesn’t always get everything right - which is why we should always remember to “Double Check!”

During lessons across school, children showed our School Value of Responsibility by thinking carefully about how their online actions affect themselves and others. They also reflected on Being Good Citizens, discussing what it means to behave safely and respectfully in the digital world. Well done, everyone, you were all fantastic!
