Unit 3 History Enrichment

Unit 3 History Enrichment

March 30, 2026

Last week, our Year 3 and Year 4 children enjoyed an exciting trip to the Royal Albert Memorial Museum (RAMM) in Exeter. This visit supported their current History enquiry, where they have been investigating the key question: How did the Romans change Britain?

During the visit, the children explored a range of fascinating exhibits and artefacts. They searched for real historical evidence showing how the Romans influenced life in Britain - from buildings and roads to trade, technology, and everyday objects. Seeing these artefacts first-hand was a fantastic opportunity for our learners and helped them develop a deeper understanding of Roman impact on Britain.

Throughout the day, the children demonstrated a Love of Learning, showing curiosity, enthusiasm, and a real passion for discovering new ideas as they explored the museum. This is another example of our 30 Ways to Connect - number 2 - visit a museum or library.

We are incredibly proud of how our children were respectful in the way they represented our school and their independence with the thoughtful learning that took place throughout the day. Well done Unit 3, you were all fantastic ambassadors for our school.
