Meadfoot House Assembly

Be a Good Citizen

June 25, 2025

Yesterday, our Meadfoot House Captains – Luca, Shayna, and Poppy – led a fantastic House Assembly to celebrate the success of their recent fundraising event in support of Torbay Mencap.

The children organised a brilliant Bake Sale, and thanks to the creativity, generosity, and kindness of pupils, and families across the school, they raised an incredible £170. During the assembly, the House Captains spoke with pride about how their House came together to plan the event, donated delicious sweet treats, and contributed so generously to this cause.

Meadfoot House were delighted to welcome Carol from Torbay Mencap to accept the donation. She shared how the money raised will help support a child from Mayfield, who has been too unwell to attend school, to join a school trip with their peers – a truly special outcome made possible by the generosity of our school community.

Carol expressed her sincere thanks to Meadfoot House and the wider school community for their compassion and generosity. The assembly was a powerful reminder of how our actions, big or small, can make a real difference in the lives of others.

This event was a wonderful reflection of our School Aim of "Be a Good Citizen", showing how we can work together to support our community and make a positive impact.

Well done, Meadfoot House!
