Teamwork

March 26, 2026

As part of our School Aim, ‘Be A Good Citizen’, our Broadsands House Captains – Jasmine, Isaac, Bruno, and Ava – have shown fantastic leadership by exploring charities that make a meaningful difference to people’s lives. After some research, they chose to support the British Heart Foundation, a charity dedicated to protecting and improving heart health across the UK.

We were delighted to welcome Mark from the British Heart Foundation, who came in to speak to the children in Broadsands House. Mark shared the wonderful work the charity does, including its commitment to educating people about heart health, supporting families affected by heart conditions, and raising vital funds for research. The children learned how this research helps scientists think of new ways to understand how the heart works and to develop potential cures and medicines for heart conditions that affect so many people.

Inspired by Mark’s visit, our Broadsands House Captains will now be working closely with their House to plan a fundraising event in support of the British Heart Foundation later this year. As they develop their ideas, Jasmine, Isaac, Bruno, and Ava will be demonstrating our School Value of Teamwork and helping Broadsands House come together to make a real difference to the lives of others.
