Paws to Read

We are thrilled to welcome back Molly, our much-loved therapy dog, and her wonderful owner, Christel, from Therapy Dogs Nationwide as we begin the new school year. Molly and Christel do a fantastic job supporting our children’s wellbeing and confidence, and we’re excited to continue working with them through our Paws to Read scheme.

This special initiative encourages children to read aloud to Molly in a calm, non-judgemental space - helping to nurture a love of reading, build fluency, and boost self-esteem. Molly listens patiently to every word, and her gentle presence makes reading time something truly magical.

Their visits are a perfect reflection of our School Value this term, Responsibility. Children take pride in preparing their books, caring for Molly, and showing kindness and respect during each session.

We are so grateful to Christel and Molly for the joy they bring to our school community.
