As part of the Puffins and Penguins Learning Enquiry, ‘When I Grow Up’, small groups of children have been visiting different organisations to find out about future job opportunities. This week a group of children visited RNLI Exmouth to tour the station and find out about the different job roles. The lifeboat crew work as a team to rescue people from the water. They have a responsibility to look after their specialist suits and ensure that equipment on the lifeboats is correct. The children learnt that everyone at the station is a volunteer, except the mechanic. They were very inspired by the trip and fascinated by the new knowledge and facts.
