The children in Unit 2 have been enjoying making wormeries with a partner. Together, they filled their plastic bottles with everything a worm needs: soil, grit, sand and leaves. They then made sure to cover the bottles with black paper as worms need darkness in order to thrive. The children showed a great deal of respect towards the worms and knowledge about how best to care for them. We are excited to keep checking the wormeries and observing the behaviour of the worms!
