Unit 4 Geography Field Work
Unit 4 have been looking at rivers over the last two weeks as part of their Geography short enquiry. Today they enjoyed practising their fieldwork skills in Cockington. The Education Rangers from Cockington demonstrated how we could measure the temperature, the depth and width of the stream, and how to measure the flow of water. We then got the opportunity to have a go ourselves. The children showed fantastic teamwork to ensure that their measurements were accurate. On our way down to the stream, we talked about the springs which is the source of the water and how it moves down into the stream before entering the sea. We are very proud of how collaboratively the children worked and how respectful they were to the members of the public we met along the way.
