Dear Parents and Carers,
This week we have had been so lucky. We have been in a real ambulance and got to ask a real paramedic some questions. We have also met Police Officers and sat on a police bike and had our finger prints taken. Mr. Kies also came in to rescue our Teddy as he is a mountain rescue volunteer. The children have been so excited and engaged in their learning. It has been lovely to be a part of.
When we return after half term we are off on an aeroplane journey to China to mark Chinese New Year (although a little late!) As part of this learning experience we will be tasting some Chinese food, please let us know if there are any dietary issues we need to be aware of. On Thursday 22nd February you are invited to come and see the class take part in a mini performance of a dragon dance! Please come in the main entrance to the hall at 2:45pm for a very interesting interpretation!!
Parents Evening: We are really looking forward to sharing with you all your child’s progress and next steps. If you haven’t done so already please book an appointment for Tuesday 20th or Wednesday 21st February by logging in to http://preston.parentseveningsystem.co.uk
On the day of the meetings please pick your children up as usual and come back through the main entrance and down to the classrooms that way. This enables us to prepare the classrooms for visitors.
Ideas for supporting your child’s learning at home this week:
Keep a diary over the holidays – draw a picture of anything exciting you do and label it or write a sentence to go with it.
We hope you all have a wonderful half term
