Year 2 Sleepover
On Friday 2nd July, our Year 2 children had the opportunity to join us for a sleepover in the school grounds. They had a wonderful time! The children enjoyed toasting marshmallows over the campfire and eating their hot dogs. They were fascinated to watch Mrs Braddon use our outdoor cooking equipment to make popcorn over the fire. We stayed up late playing in the Woodland Camp and on the playground, before settling down to watch a film in the school hall. The children were a credit to their parents and the school, showing each of our school values throughout their time at the sleepover. In the morning, we had croissants and cereal for breakfast, before heading outside to play games. The children took responsibility for themselves when packing away their things and showed a great level of independence throughout. It was wonderful to hear one parent say “Thank you to all the staff for making this happen. One more step back towards normality!”
We would like to thank the Co Op on Roundhill Road for kindly donating the breakfast food to the children.
