The reading workshop is to explain the new Library and reading program ‘Accelerated Reader’. The program is designed to aid children in the book choices they make and monitor their development and understanding. We will also be discussing the vital part that parents play in reading even when children are more independent readers. We will look at fluency, what this means and strategies to improve it, as well as comprehension skills and reading for the love of it.
