We are looking forward to the festive period. Our Christmas decorations will be going up around the school next week, and we would like to let you know our plans for celebrating Christmas at Preston.
So that children can exchange Christmas cards, we will have post boxes in each Unit . Children can bring their cards in from next Tuesday 1st December, and delivery day will be the following Monday 7th December. This will continue each week until the end of term.
Next week, we will begin a series of virtual assemblies via zoom with Reverend Pout from St Paul's Church. The assemblies will be for children in Year 1 to Year 6, and will cover our school value of responsibility, and then focus on the importance of Christmas.
Our Christmas lunch will take place on Wednesday 16th December. In order to organise a successful event for the children, can you please order your child's meal by Friday 4th December at the latest. Ordering is online via https://select.aspens-services.com/
During the last week of term, we will be having discos for the children on separate days in Unit groups in the Hall:
Unit 2 - Tuesday 15th December
Unit 3 - Wednesday 16th December
Unit 4 - Thursday 17th December
The Nest - Thursday 17th December
Foundation Stage - Friday 18th December.
On their disco day, children can come to school in their party clothes or Christmas outfits. Please remember that we are keeping the school well ventilated with open windows, so children should have a warm jumper or cardigan with them as well. We will have squash and biscuits to offer the children, so please ensure your child's allergy information is up to date - please contact the school office on firstname.lastname@example.org
Finally, on our last day of term, Friday 18th December, children can come to school in a Christmas jumper, if they wish.
