Puffins and Penguins in the Woodland Camp
We are very lucky to have such a beautiful Woodland Camp to enrich our curriculum and provide new and memorable experiences. The Foundation children are very good at articulating how and why it is important to stay safe in the Woodland Camp. This week, they were able to demonstrate their understanding as they had a campfire. They were mesmerised by the fire and it sparked some wonderful conversations. It was an opportunity for the children to be calm and communicate with their friends. Being outside helps children to connect with nature and develop an awareness of the world around them and the community they live in. The campfire was a unique experience and the children all said how amazing and exciting it was.
